Luxury bed and breakfast accommodation in an historic homestead

Guest's comment "200 acres of bliss!"

Birchfields has been the Reading family home since 1899, a welcoming home of happiness and relaxation.

Birchfields has grown from a little cottage built in the 1880s in the middle of a pear orchard. The 120 year old pear trees now form part of the Pear Walk through the old garden. The garden is protected by gnarled old trees and colourful shrubs, which attract a wide variety of birds to this sheltered haven. This is a birdwatcher's paradise. Over 40 varieties of birds have been identified in or near the gardens.

There are two private suites overlooking an historic garden, which has an extensive collection of glorious roses, unusual shrubs and mature trees. A gourmet breakfast on the verandah begins the magic days. There is always a variety of birds to watch, fluttering and swooping in the undergrowth as they gather insects or seeds. Birdsong accompanies you everywhere you go.

The small town of Vasse is the gateway to the Margaret River region. Birchfields offers you history, beauty, a taste of farm life, and a relaxing and enjoyable stay in an original, stylish country homestead.

Vasse is central to the Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River regions and within easy driving distance of the fabulous local wineries, beaches, galleries, caves and restaurants.
